THE COMING OF DARKNESS -THE EAGLE SERIES (2013 -2014)

Air Drones searching and circling the sky, is it an Eagle a bird of prey attacking or is it a Dove a symbol of peace….. 

ink silhouette drawings reflecting the sculpture relief from the walls of Angkor leaps out from the paintings against a vivid sea of colour.  ‘The Coming of Darkness’ first painting series started in 2003, followed by the 'Yellow series'(2005), ‘The Barbarian’(2006), the 'Red series' (2009-2011), and the ‘Eagle series’ (2013 -2014), narrating a colourful, layered, whimsical yet ‘dark’ illustration of warfare.
